85 Ft Hanuman Murthi in Chaguanas, West Indies
The town, Chaguanas, West Indies, is very culturally diverse hosting a very large East Indian population as well as a significant African population. The predominantly East Indian population explains the dominance of Hindu religion in the area. This dominance is evident by the amount of Temples located in the area. Of major significance was the construction of the tallest(85 feet) Lord Hanuman statue in the Western Hemisphere in Orange Field. Also of significance is the temple in Waterloo, which extends into the sea. The murti of Lord Hanuman – Karyasidhi Hanuman – is one of the tallest statues in the Caribbean islands.
Lion House or Hanuman House in Chaguanas, West Indies
The Lion House, is the ancestral home of the Capildeo family and stands majestically on the Chaguanas Main Road in Chaguanas, a large town half way between Port of Spain and San Fernando. It is the only building of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. పై ఆకునందు రెండు హనుమంతుని చిత్రములు కలవు. ఇట్లు ప్రతి ఆకునందు సహజముగ హనుమన్మూర్తిద్వయము ఉండెడిచెట్టు ప్రకృతిలో నొకటున్నది. శ్రీహనుమంతుడు ప్రకృతిసిద్దముగనే చిత్రింపబడియుండు ఆకులు గల ఆ చెట్టు హనుమద్బీర. ఇది శ్రీశైలము అడవులలోగలదు. ఇలా ప్రకృతిలోనే హనుమంతుడాచెట్టు ఆకులపై చిత్రింపబడియుండుటకు కారణం “ఎవరైనా భక్తుడు ఆచెట్టు క్రింద కూర్చొని ఆంజనేయస్వామిని గూర్చి తపస్సు చేస్తూ అందు స్వామిని ఆవాహనచేసి యుండవచ్చు” అని సినీ సంగీతవేత్త శ్రీ పి.బి. శ్రీనివాస్ అభిప్రాయము.

ది:02-08-2012 నాడు శ్రావణ పౌర్ణమి. దీనినే జంధ్యాల పౌర్ణమి, రాఖీ పౌర్ణమి అని కూడా అంటారు. ఉపనయనం అయిన ప్రతి వారు ఈ రోజు “యజ్ఞోపవీతం పరమం పవిత్రం” అంటూ, కొత్త జందెమును ధరించి పాత దానిని తీసివేస్తారు. ఆ సంవత్సరమే ఉపనయనం అయిన నూతన వటువునకు ఈ రోజు ‘ముంజ విడుపు’ లేదా ‘ఉపాకర్మ’ కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహిస్తారు.
Nature doesn’t need an audience. These wonderful orchids come from the south-eastern Ecuadorian and Peruvian cloud forests from elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters and as such not many people throughout history got to see them. However, thanks to intrepid collectors we do get to see this wonderful Monkey Orchid. Someone didn’t need much imagination to name it though, let’s face it.

ఆనాడు ఎవరికివారు తమ గురువును పూజించాలి. వేదవిభజనము ద్వారా, పురాణ వాంగ్మయము ద్వారా మనకు అనంత విజ్ఞానమును అందించినవాడు వ్యాస భగవానుడు. కావున గురువుగా ఆయనను పూజించుట సంప్రదాయము అయ్యింది. ప్రతివారికి తొలిగురువు తల్లి, అనంతరము తండ్రి. వారికి నమస్కరించటము, పూజించటము నాటి కర్తవ్యము.

లోకానుగ్రహకాంక్షతో, రాక్షస సంహారార్థము హనుమంతు డుదయించెను. కేసరి భార్యయగు అంజనాదేవికి ఫలరూపమున అగ్ని, వాయువుల సహాయమున అందిన శివతేజస్సువలన అతడు జన్మించెను. కావున హనుమంతుడు కేసరినందనుడు, ఆంజనేయుడు, అగ్నిపుత్రుడు, పవనసుతుడు, శంకర తనయుడు అని కీర్తింపబడుచున్నాడు.
హనుమజ్జయంతి
హనుమంతుడు వైశాఖ బహుళ దశమి, శనివారమునాడు, పూర్వాభాద్రా నక్షత్రమందు, వైధ్రుతి యోగమున, మధ్యాహ్న సమయమందు, కర్కాటక లగ్నాన, కౌండిన్య గోత్రమున జన్మించెను. స్వాతినక్షత్రము హనుమంతునకు అధిష్టాన నక్షత్రము.
