“Description of the Procedure of Protection of Horses and Elephants, Fire Control, Mind Control and other Applications”

(Gajāśvarakşā Prayōgah, Agnisthambhana, VaśyaPrayōgādi Kathanam)

ŚrīParaāśara:

“Oh! Mytrēya! I am telling about specificities related to the protection of elephants and other animals. I am telling about the places of keeping horses and elephants. Listen. (1)

Just like it was earlier told about coronation of a king, one has to perform the ritual with pots and recite the mantra 10,000 times. An understanding performer, after performing the fire sacrifice there itself, has to perform a sacrifice too. (2)

The horses and elephants have to be sprinkled with holy water while reciting the same mantra. This has to be done every month (3)

Following the methods given in the wind-speed and mind-speed axioms, the happiness and bodily robustness (of the creatures). (4)

All the animals will gain fast speed like health of high-breed horses. As already told a satisfied king has to worship his ministers. (5)

Application of Process for Victory over Enemies in War (YuddhēŚatrujayaPrayōgah)

Oh! Mytrēya! I am telling about another special issue. Kings will surely get victories during wars, on having invited the minister in a friendly manner, (6)

And has to worship by the victory seeking king. He has to strongly wish victory over all the enemies. The king has to organize the security and happiness in the mind of all his elephants and horses, (7)

The mantra scholar should be well-versed with it and worshipping the God as per procedure, has to invite ŚrīHanumān. (8)

A goat has to be  killed and its meat sacrificed by way of sacrificing his kingship, At the time of the sacrifice, the minister has to submit it as the sacrifice of all the enemy forces – the four part (elephant force, horse force, chariot force and the foot-soldier force). (9)

Binding the enemy with his name, the mantra expert has to offer the blood of the enemy daily as the sacrifice. (10)

Along with his followers, all the enemies are eaten up till end. An understanding mantra expert has to perform the sacrificial ritual in this manner. (11)

This mantra, unavailable even to the gods, should not be revealed. A satisfied god will accept all the enemy forces offered in the great sacrifice. (12)

The king has to offer daily the enemy forces too, along with the sacrificial meat offered by him. The enemy force will be defeated in a short duration. (13)

Then, on the satisfied mantra expert, having drawn (on the ground) the yantra (amulet) and go towards the enemy force, the same will get decimated. (14)

As soon as the mantra scholar tries for the achievement of victory (vijayasiddhi), has to perform the abhişēka (ritualistic pouring of liquid) of the king. (15)

The expert performing the abhişēka has also to satisfy the Brahmavēttas (persons knowledgeable about the Supreme Being = Brahman), just like the gods were satisfied with the animal sacrifice and fire sacrifice and other processes. (16)

This mantra science is secret. Hence the mantra scholars have to keep it a secret. (17)

Fire Control Process (Agnisthambhanaprayōgah)

For one desirous of controlling fires (Agnisthambhanaprayōgah), royal sacrifice has to be performed. After performing the mātŗkānyāsa the mantranyāsa (the two main methods of reciting and simultaneously touching different body parts in a systemic order) has to be performed. (18)

One, who becomes pure-souled (suddhātma) after the ritual body part touching, has to recite the mantra, as stipulated, aiming for the cintāmańi (desire-fulfilling fabulous diamond) with the Hasta star-constellation as the base letter (beejam). (19)

By imparting the Fire God upon self (mind) and singing loudly, as per the given melody (musical rāga), meditate upon Hanumān, the son of the Wind God. In this manner knowledgeable mantra scholars may perform jalasthambhana (stopping water). (20)

Poverty Removal Procedure (dāridyaharaprayōgah)

I am telling about another secret that can eliminate the fear of destitution. The mantra exponent has to meditate upon the Two-Shouldered form of the Hanumān. (21)

One with the (desired) head and strength, decorated by serpents and others, whose body glows like gold, one that is always covered by a fine upper cloth (dukoola), (22)

Praised by the laudatory hymn reciters (stōtrapāţhakas), with a pleasant countenance, capable of everything, wearing a quality cotton string around the waist, with wide eyes, wearing a snake as the holy thread, (23)

Meditating upon such Lord Hanumān, perform mantra recitation and water offering (tarpaņa). With a thousand each of fried rice cakes and puffed rice, (24)

The Fire Sacrifice has to be performed. In this manner the mantra will fructify; one gets riches, undoubtedly. The mantra exponent has to offer simple sacrifice in the nights. (25)

The Procedure of Mind Control (VaśyaPrayōgah)

Those wishing to seek control of minds have to deem the great god Hanumān to be of red colour, meditating upon Hanumān as the inner form (ātmaswaroopa) of self and visiting all the places. (26)

The pupil (śişya) offering the sacrifice will have everything under own control always. He, the mantra achiever, is able to know all that happens in this world. (27)

Such an all-capable mantra exponent has always to think about the security of the king. The kingdom-affair manager minister has always to think about the good of the king in mind, in speech and in action. (28)

A king protected means protection of all the moving and non-moving entities of the world. (29)

Then the Brahmins and the cows have to be protected.  A great knower of the sciences of mantras has always to do, with all his might, that that is good and just. (30)

If things are done contrary to this, he will gain great sin. All the creatures have right to be protected. (31)

One that thinks about the welfare of all the creatures, one that always speaks the truth, one that has strong performer attitude, one that follows meditation and recitation strictly, one that is of peaceful disposition, one that takes baths of holy ash, (32)

One that knows the inner meaning of Vedas, one that meditate upon the great god Śiva, one that has the above virtues in full measure, one that believes in worshipping in temples, Offering benevolent sacrifices, one has to recite an appropriate mantra. One that recites so, will be free of diseases for a long time and becoming the progenitor of a great clan gets all the auspicious nesses. (33)
