Achieving the Objective

(Kāmyasādhanam)

चक्राब्जकर्णिकावासं कालाग्निसदृशप्रभम्
चतुर्बाहुं विवृत्तस्यं चतुश्चक्रधरं हरिम्।। 1

Invocation

Meditate on Him (Hanumān), carrier of four wheels and remover of sin-darkness who lives in the central circular part (pericarp) of the lotus, who has luminance equal to that of the destruction-time fire, having four hands, having wide open face,

योगपट्टपिनद्धांगं त्रिनेत्रं चोग्रविग्रहम्
ध्यायेत्समस्तदोषघ्नमशोकद्रुममूलगम्।। 2

Immersed in contemplation, having three eyes, having a fierce bearing, remover of all defects, and the one sitting at the base of the asōka tree.

अथातस्संप्रवक्ष्यामि मंत्रसाधनमुत्तमम्
यस्य विज्ञानमात्रेण भवेत्साक्षाद्विस्पति:।। 3

Mantra Recital

I am now telling how to master such mantra, knowing of which alone gives the position of the Lord of Gods, i.e., Indra.

कृते त्वेकसहस्त्रं स्यात्त्रेतायां त्रिसहस्त्रकम्
द्वापरे पंचसाहस्त्र्ं प्रजपेदयुतं कलौ।। 4

One has to, with devotion, recite this mantra a thousand times in the Kŗtayuga (the first Time Cycle of the World), three thousand times in Trētāyuga (the second Time Cycle of the World), five thousand times in Dwāparayuga (the third Time Cycle of the World) and ten thousand times in Kaliyuga (the fourth and the final Time Cycle of the World, after which the first one starts again, and again).

पर्वताग्रे नदीतीरे श्रीगुरोस्सन्निधौ तु वा
गोष्ठे बृन्दावने वा पि नदीतीरे विशेषत:।। 5

This has to be recited on the top of a hill, on the bank of a river, in the presence of the Guru, in an assembly of people or in a holy basil (Tulasi) garden. It is especially fruitful to recite on the bank of a river.

 

PS1- 3rd Chapter - 01

गुरोरनुज्ञया मंत्रं प्रजपेद्विजितेन्द्रिय:
सिद्धेनानेन मंत्रेण काम्यकर्माणि साधयेत्।। 6

One who has achieved control of one’s senses has to recite this, after getting permission from the Guru.

पूर्णानुग्रहतो लब्ध्वा श्रीगुरोर्देवरूपिण:
अष्टोत्तरशतं जप्त्वा द्वादशाहं जितेद्रिय:।। 7

Such a sense-controlling person, with the grace of the Guru has to recite it for twelve days, 108 times each day.

सिद्धिं ददाति महतीं पुरश्चर्याक्रियोद्भवाम्
अथ काम्यानि कर्माणि प्रवक्ष्यामि समानतः।। 8

One attains great salvation that rises through the repetition of the mantra. Then I explain all the coveted actions (kāmya karmas).

इमां श्रीहनुमद्विद्यामष्टाविंशतिधा सदा
प्रजपेन्निशि सायं वा मध्याह्न् प्रातरेव वा।। 9

This mantra (knowledge) on Hanumān has to be practiced 28 times; any time – at night, in the evening, at noon or in the morning.

स आपत्संघनिर्मुक्त: सर्वदुष्कृतवर्जित:
विजयी सततं भूत्वा राजविद्वत्सभासु च।। 10

Fruits of the Mantra

Such a person always remains successful in King’s Courts and in scholarly assemblies, becomes free from all dangers and sins,

संस्तंभयति शत्रूणां संततिं दुस्तरामपि
दीर्घायुष्यमथारोग्यमचलां श्रियमुत्तमाम्।। 11

Stops unstoppable waves of enemy hordes, and gets blessed with long life, health and best of wealth

प्राप्नोति सुमहत्तेज: दुर्लभं परमं यश:
सर्वाभीष्टमवाप्नोति त्रिमासानंतरं ध्रुवम्।। 12

Attaining great radiance, one definitely obtains vast fame and all desired wishes within three months.

मंदवारे जपेन्मन्त्रमष्टोत्तरतरशतं बुध:
हुनेद्वादशधा वह्नौ गव्यमाज्यं सुशोभनम्।। 13

Knowledgeable ones have to recite this mantra 108 times. Then having offered oblation of cow ghee (clarified butter) to the holy fire (hōmam) twelve times,

अपूपान्वटुकान्पंच प्रीणयेद्भोजनेन च
षण्मासतस्स लभते -महालक्ष्मीमचंचलाम्।। 14

And satisfy five celibate boys by offering meals including fried rice-cakes. Such a person will gain lasting great wealth after six months.

मरणांतं वशीकुर्यात् राजस्त्रीपुरुषादिकम्
विजित्य सकलान्शन्त्रून्लभते सर्वमनोरथान्।। 15

Powers of controlling the mind of kings, men and women accrues. Winning over all types of enemies, gets all wishes fulfilled.

कारागृहे जपेन्मन्त्रं त्रिदिनान्मुच्यते बुध:
त्रिदिनान्निगलाग्रस्तो मुच्यतैव न संशय:।। 16

If performed within the confines of a jail, the wise one gets released in three days, undoubtedly.

महाराजभये प्राणसंकटे दुर्गमे पि च
अष्टोत्तरशतं जप्त्वा गच्छेदभूपस्य सन्निधिम्।। 17

When there is fear due to the king, even when stuck in a life-threatening impassable place, one has to recite the mantra 108 times and approach the king.

दासवत्सततं राजा सद्यो वश्यो भवेद् ध्रुवम्
सुवर्णवेष्टितश्वेतगुंजामूलेन मुद्रिका
गुरुं संपूज्य गृह्णीयात् वस्त्रालंकरणादिभि:।। 18

On approaching thus, the king comes under the control till death like a servant. Having worshipped the Guru presenting with new clothes and ornaments, holding the ring made of gold entwined root of the Guñja tree,

शिखायामथवा कंठे करे वामे च दक्षिणे
धृत्वा कट्यां तु वा विद्यां स्पृशन्नेत्रं त्रिधा जपेत्
मनसा श्रीगुरुं नत्वा पश्चाछ्रीवायुपुत्रकम्।। 19

Wearing it on head, neck, left hand or around the hips; touching it to the eyes reverentially thrice; one has to recite (the mantra).

राजविद्वत्सभां वा पि यत्र यत्र हि गच्छति
तत्र स्याद्विजयो लाभ: सन्मानं पौरुषं मुने।। 20

Maitrēya! Such person wins and gains if goes to a king’s court or an assembly of scholars or anywhere. Earns fame too.

शत्रूणां वाड्मन्:स्तंभं क्षेममायु: पदे पदे
स लभेत्सकलान्कामान्नित्यमेवं समाचरन्।। 21

A person performing so daily will be able to make enemies speechless and mindless. He always remains safe and has a long life; gets all the wishes fulfilled.

वैशाखे मासि कृष्णायां दशमीमंदसंयुता
पूर्वप्रौष्ठपदा युक्ता तथा वैधृतिसंयुता।। 22

Hanumān Birthday Worship

In the Kŗşņa Pakşa (waning moon or the second fortnight) of the month Vaiśakha (begins with the new moon in April and represents the second month of the Hindu lunar year), the tenth day (daśami) falling on a Saturday within the pūrvābhādra nakştra (star starting from 20 degree Aries sign to 3 degree 20 minutes) is endowed with Vaidhŗti Yōga (that gives cheerfulness and positive energy).

तद्दिनं हनुमज्जन्मदिवसं मुनिपुंगव
तस्यां संपूज्य रामस्य प्रियदूतं महाबलम्।। 23

That day is the Birthday of Hanumān, O! Sage. That day, after worshipping Hanumān, the dear envoy of Lord Srīrāma and the mighty persona,

गुरुं संतोष्य यत्नेन वस्त्रालंकरणादिभि:
शतमष्टोत्तरं जप्त्वा विद्यामेनां हनूमत:।। 24

Making the Guru happy by presenting new clothes and ornaments, reciting this Knowledge (mantra) concerning Hanumān 108 times, (and on)

हुनेद् द्वादशधा वह्नौ गव्यमाज्यं सुशोभनम्
सद्यस्सिद्धा महाविद्या भवतीयं न संशय:।। 25

Performing fire-sacrifice twelve times with pure cow ghee will, without doubt, result in attaining the goal.

जप्त्वा युतमिमां विद्यां खादिरैरयुतं हुनेत्
शत्रूणां सुमहद्राष्ट्रमपि सद्यो दहेद्ध्रूवम्।। 26

On reciting this mantra 10,000 times and performing fire sacrifice with fiercely burning sacrificial wood will definitely destroy enemy kingdom of any vast size.

लंकाया दाहकं ध्यायन्प्रजप्य दीर्घमादरात्
पायसेन हुनेदग्नौ सहस्त्रत्रिमधुप्लुतम्।। 27

If the mantra of Hanumān, who burnt the city of Lanka, is recited with great devotion a thousand times and fire sacrifice is performed with milk-rice pudding (kşirānna) prepared with three varieties of sweeteners,

तस्मिन्नेव दिने शत्रुराष्ट्रं संदह्नते ग्निमना
लक्ष्मणप्राणदातारं द्रोणशैलस्थितौषधै:।। 28

Fierce fire burns enemy kingdom. If Hanumān, the saver of Lakşmaņa with the medicinal herbs of Mount Drōņa (which He brought),

ध्यात्वायुतमिमां जप्त्वा दीर्घमायुष्यमशनुते
रात्रौ दिवा च प्रजपेदष्टोविंशतिधा तथा।। 29

Is meditated upon and this mantra recited 10,000 times, one attains long life. Day and night recitation has to be done 28 times.

मासे मासे महायोगिन् स्वप्ने तस्यांजनासुत:
ददाति दर्शनं स्वस्वगुरुस्तुटो भवेद्यदि।। 30

Further Worship

O! Renowned Yogi! If one makes the Guru happy every month, Hanumān gives holy Vision in his dreams.

प्रसन्ने रामदूते स्य किमसाध्यं जगत्त्रये
ब्राह्मीमुहूर्ते चोत्थाय स्मृत्वा श्रीगुरुमादरात्।। 31

What is impossible in the Three Worlds to one, with whom Hanumān is happy? Waking up early in the morning and after contemplating on Guru reverentially,

अष्टाविंशतिधा विद्यां जपेत्कालो स्ति चेच्छतम्
लभते महतीं कीर्तिमचलां श्रियमुत्तमाम्।। 32

The mantra of Knowledge of Hanumān has to be recited 28 times. If time permits, reciting a thousand times is better. Such a person earns great fame, as well as long lasting good wealth.

विजयं राजसन्मानं सौभाग्यं कांतिमुत्तमाम्
क्षेममायुष्यमारोग्यं सर्वान्कामान्समश्नते।। 33

Success, patronage of kings, wealth, splendor, social position, longevity, health and all desire-fulfilment will accrue.

शतमष्टोत्तरं यस्तु जपेद्ब्राब्रह्मीमुहूर्तके
तस्य श्रीहनुमान्स्वप्ने पक्षे पक्षे हि दृश्यते।। 34

Lord Hanumān gives holy Vision in dreams every fortnight to the one reciting this 108 times right at the dawn (Brahma muhūrta).

धनधान्यसमायुक्तो गजवाजिरथाकुल:
एकवर्षे त्रिभिर्वर्षैरथ वा जायते ध्रुवम्।। 35

Such a person will gain money, food grains; and horse, elephant and chariot forces within one to three years.

शत्रुसंघान्विनिर्जित्य आंजनेयप्रसादत:
दृष्ट्वा विषं नाशयति ज्वरांश्चातुर्थिकानपि।। 36

With the kind grace of Hanumān, one will win over enemies, will be able to neutralize any poison just with looks and can cure lasting fever.

दृष्ट्वैवाकर्षयेन्नारीं नृपकन्याश्च दुर्लभा:
मासद्वयात्परं भूपान् दृष्ट्वैवाकर्षयत्यसौ।। 37

Such a person can attract the attention of beautiful ladies and princesses at first site. One can get kings’ attention by practicing the mantra for two months.

वत्सरत्रयतस्तस्य खेचरत्वं प्रजायते
जरामरणशून्यो वै स शतायुर्भवेद्ध्रुवं।। 38

One can attain the power of flying in the sky, thanks to recitation of this mantra for three years. Such a person will live for 100 years without old age or disease.

संशयं मा कुरु वात्र संशयात्मा विनश्यति
वैशाखे मास्यमावास्यादिने ब्रम्हदिभिस्सुरै:।। 39

Have absolutely no doubts about this. Doubtful persons wither away. On the no-moon day of the Vaiśakha month, along with Brahma (the Creator) and other deities,

सूर्यं राहुं जिघृक्षंतं दृष्टवा शक्रेण वज्रिणाPS1- 3rd Chapter - 02
वज्रप्रहारनिहतो हनुरेकशिलातले।। 40

Hanumān (Dent-jawed)

While (Hanumān), seeing Rāhu (the demonic half-planet) grabbing the Sun (eclipsing), was struck by Indra (Lord of the divines) with his diamond-hard weapon (vajrāyudha), fell on a big stone with a broken jaw (hanuma, hence Hanumān, one with a dented jaw),

स्वपुत्रं पतितं दृष्टवा वायु: कोपसमन्वित:
न संचचार तेनैतन्मृत्प्रायमभूज्जगत्।। 41

Seeing his fallen son, an enraged Vāyu (God of Wind) stopped his movement (air became still), as a result of which the whole World became dead, so to say.

तदागत्य हरिब्र्ह्मा शक्राद्यैरमराधिपै:
वरा: सहस्त्रो दत्तास्तेनासौ वायुनन्दन:।। 42

Then Vişņu, Indra and other mighty Gods and Goddesses hastened tither and bestowed thousands of boons on Him. Hence Hanumān, the son of the Wind God (Vāyuputra),

अवर्तत महावीर: सर्वकामसमन्वित:।
तस्मादमादिने देवम् समभ्यच्र्यांजनासुतम्।। 43

Got all His wishes fulfilled, became omnipotent, competent and a great warrior (Mahāvīra). Hence, it is worth worshipping Āñjanēya (son of Añjani) on the no-moon day of the Vaiśakha month.

फलपुष्पोपहारैश्च विजयाख्यं जगत्पतिम्
अष्टोत्तरशतं जप्त्वा हुनेद्वादशधा घृतम्।। 44

Offering fruits and floral garlands, name of such Lord of the World (Hanumān) has to be recited 108 times and holy fire-sacrifice (hōmam) performed twelve times with ghee.

गुरुं संपूज्य यत्नेन दत्वा च गुरुदक्षिणाम्
मंत्रसिद्धिमवाप्नोति नात्रकार्या विचारणा।। 45

One can definitely obtain the fruits of the mantra by worshipping the Guru with sincere efforts and presenting Guru-gift. This fact is just unarguable.

मार्गशीर्षे त्रयोदश्यां शुक्लायां जनकात्मजा
दृष्टा देवी जगन्माता महावीरेण धीमता।। 46

Mother of the worlds and daughter of Janaka – Sītā was seen by the firm-calm and the great warrior Hanumān on the 13th day of the waxing moon fortnight of the month of Mārgaśira (9th month of the Hindu lunar calendar; November – December).

तदा तया वरो दत्तो य स्त्वा मभ्यर्चयिष्यति
दु:खसंघ निवृत्तिंच संपदादिमनोरथान्।। 47

At that time, She gave a boon to Hanumān – ‘whoever worships you (will get) happiness, wealth and other wishes’.

अवाप्नोति न संदेह: इति देव्यनुशासनम्
तस्मात्तस्मिन् दिने भ्यच्य वायुपुत्रं जगत्प्रभुम्।। 48

Without any doubt. This is Sītā’s command. Hence, after worshiping Hanumān, the Lord of the World,

गुरोरनुज्ञया मंत्रं त्रिशतं प्रजपेच्छुचि:
सिध्यत्येव हि मंत्रो स्य नात्र कार्या विचारणा।। 49

First making oneself pure (body and mind) and after Guru’s permission, the mantra has to be recited 300 times. Undoubtedly, the mantra will give results.

नित्यं द्विवारं प्रजपेदष्टाविंशतिमादरात्
रात्रौ दिवा च पुरुषो महाभाग्यनिधि: भवेत्।। 50

Special Worship & Achievements

On reciting at the rate of 28 times, twice, in the day and in the night, one will be a very happy person.

मासार्थेमंडलार्थे वा स्वप्ने देवं प्रपश्यति
असाध्यमपि देवानां द्वीपांतरगतं च यत्
लभते सकलाभीष्टं क्षिप्रमेव न संशय:।। 51

(Such one) will have the Vision of Lord Hanumān in 15 to 20 days and will definitely be free in no time from troubles like ocean crossing and will get wishes fulfilled, which is not possible even to divine personalities.

अष्टोत्तरशतं जप्त्वा रणं गच्छति य: पुमान्
विचेतनान्विमूढांश्च शस्त्रास्त्रकृतनिर्जितान्।। 52

One who goes to war with stubborn enemies after reciting the mantra 108 times and using all types of weapons and mantra-driven missiles,

मायासैन्यपरित्रस्तान्कांदिशीकान् करोति हि
विजित्य शत्रुसंघातान्प्राप्नोति विजयं ध्रुवम्।। 53

Even invisible armies get frightened and run away and (the reciting persob) will definitely come out successful.

भानुवारे श्वेतगुंजामूलमुदधृत्य् यत्नत:।। 54

Searching and pulling out the root of the Indian white licorice (Gunja),

सुवर्णवेष्टितश्वेतगुंजामूलेन मुद्रिकाम्
कृत्वा शेषंतु तन्मूलं मंत्रेणानेन पंचधा।। 55

Wearing golden ring, incorporating a bit of that root, reciting the mantra, the remaining part (of the root), into five parts

कृत्वाभिमंत्रितं नित्यं तांबूलेन तत: परम्
भक्षयित्वा ततो गच्छेज्जनवश्यं महाद्भ्र्तम्।। 56

Divided and then, if sanctified and eaten with beetle leaves for five days, will give control over people.

शुभे दिने शुभे लग्ने गुरुं संपूज्य यत्नत:
यद्वा व्रतदिनेष्वेकदिवसे वा विशेषत:।। 57

Having worshipped the Guru in a dedicated manner on an auspicious day and auspicious zodiac sign, one has to on the same day or on another special day,

सिंहासनेश्वरीविद्यां पंचवक्त्रहनूमत:
गुरोस्सकाशात्संप्राप्य गृहणीयान्मुद्रिकां शुभाम्।। 58

Becoming closer to the Guru pleasantly, one has to obtain (get imparted) the Five-faced Hanumān related Throne Goddess (Simhāsanēśwarī) lore, as well as the auspicious ring,

धृत्वा तन्मुद्रिकां नित्यं महाविद्यामिमां जपेत
अष्टोत्तरशतं वापि अष्टाविंशतिमेववा।। 59

That ring (has) to be worn always and this lore has to be recited 108 or even 28 times.

विपदो स्य विनश्यन्ति लोकवश्यं महाद्भ्र्तम्
जनवश्यं राजवश्यमंगनावश्यमुत्तमम्।। 60

Such a person will get rid of all dangers and obtains the power of control over people, king and the best among the ladies.

यावज्जीवं न संदेहं लभेत्सकलसम्पद:
सर्वत्र विजयी भूत्वा विजित्य सकलानरीन्।। 61

Will obtain inexhaustible riches. By the grace of Hanumān he will always succeed.

प्राप्नोति महदैश्वर्यमचंचलमनुत्तमम्
हनूमत: प्रसादेन सततं विजयी भवेत्।। 62

(Also) One has to recite this mantra with interest from the beginning to the end of the eclipse time.

ग्रहणे स्पर्शमारभ्य मोक्षकालांतमादरात्
जपेदमुं महामंत्रं तद्द्शांशं हुनेद्घ्तम्।। 63

During this time, for 1/10th of that period, holy fire sacrifice (hōma) has to be performed.

तर्पयेत्तद्द्शांशेन वटून्द्वादश भोजयेत्
सिद्धमंत्रो भवेल्लक्ष्मी: कीर्तिर्भाग्यनिधिस्सदा।। 64

One has to put into it (sacrifice) 1/10th of water oblation (tarpanņ). Twelve celibate Brahmin boys have to be fed. This gives accomplishment to the mantra, makes one rich and famous.

स्वर्णसंवेष्टितश्वेतगुंजामूलेन मुद्रिकाम्
सदा धृत्वा करे विद्यां प्राप्य श्रीगुर्वनुग्रहात्।। 65

One has to wear the golden ring incorporating a bit of the root of the Indian white licorice (Gunja) always and having obtained the mantra by the grace of the Guru.

त्रिशतं प्रजपेद्यस्तु षण्मासं विजितिंद्रिय्:
अधश्शायी ब्रह्मभ्चारी स ह्मभ्यर्च्च जगत्पतिम्।। 66

Whoever controls his senses firmly, sleeps on the ground, remains celibate and worships Hanumān the Lord of the World for six months,

साधकेन्द्रो हनूमंतं चक्षुषा पश्यति ध्रुवम्
अणिमादिगुणैश्वर्यं ददात्यस्मै न संशय:।। 67

Will (having controlled senses) will be able to see Hanumān with his own eyes. He will, without doubt, be bestowed by Hanumān with the Eight Achievements (Aştasiddhi), namely – fineness-minuteness, dignity, lightness-levity, attainment (of happiness), abundance, ability-power and superiority-authority.

लक्षमेकं जपित्वा यो दशांशं कमलैर्हुनेत्
निधयश्शंखपद्माद्यास्तं सेवंते न संशय:।। 68

One who recites the mantra 100,000 time and performs 1/10th times of it sacred fire sacrifice (hōma) with lotus flowers, is bestowed with Nine Treasure Troves (Navaniddhi), namely – mahāpadma (great lotus flower), śankha (conch), makara (crocodile), kachchhapa (tortoise), kumud (a particular precious stone), kunda (jasmine), nila (sapphire) and kharva (dwarf); each personified as a guardian spirit.

पर्वताग्रे जपेद्यस्तु लक्षत्रयमतंद्रित:
अजरामरणो भूत्वा पंचविंशतिवार्षिक:।। 69

A calm person that recites the mantra 300,000 times on the summit of a mountain remains a 25 year old youth without old age and death,

भेतालसिद्धिमासाद्य घाटिकांजनपादुकाम्
खेचर: कामरूपी च विजयी सततं भवेत्।। 70

Obtains powers of firm and expressive personality (Bhētāla) even- surefootedness (ghātikānjanpāduka), free roaming in the sky (ākāsśasancāra), voluntary changing of form (kāmarūpa); and always wins.

अधश्शायी ब्रह्मचारी प्रजपेत्पंच लक्षकम्
अजरामरणो भूत्वा सदा विंशतिवार्षिक:।। 71

On reciting the mantra 500,000 times while sleeping on bare earth and following strict celibacy (even in thought), one remains a 25 year old youth without old age and death,

कल्पायुष्यं समासाद्य विमानमधिरोहति
रमते दिव्यकन्याभि: नंदनादिवनेषु च।। 72

One lives for a full Day of Brahma (4.32 billion solar years, i.e., very long) and rides the celestial aircraft. Will stroll around Nandana and other celestial gardens with celestial damsels.

अनेनैव शरीरेण साक्षात्कन्दर्पकांतिमान्
अव्याहताज्ञस्सर्वत्र मोदते कालमक्षयम्।। 73

One’s body acquires radiance like that of the very God of Love (Manmatha), becomes unconquerable everywhere and will be happy for an undiminishing time.

किमुक्तेनाथ बहुना विद्येयं सर्वसिद्धिदा
सततं नियतो यस्तु प्रजपेन्मंत्रमुत्तमम्।। 74

Why to tell about all the rest? This lore (mantra) gives all achievements. Whoever always recites this mantra with strict adherence to rules,

अनेनैव शरीरेण दिव्यान्भोगानवाप्य च
जीवन्मुक्तो न संदेहस्सत्यं सत्यं वदाम्यहम्।। 75

Undoubtedly ends the life after enjoyment of all the delights with this very body only. This I am telling. This is the truth.

अष्टाविंशतिधा यस्तु नित्यं नियमवान् जपेत्
स आपत्सागरान्सर्वात्न्समुत्तीर्णो महीतले।। 76

Whoever recites this 28 times always, following all due rules, will cross all the oceans of dangers of this World.

विजित्य सकलान्शत्रू न्परां लक्ष्मीमचंचलाम्
दीर्घमायुष्यमारोग्यं पुत्रान्पौत्राननुत्तमान्।। 77

He will defeat all the enemies and gains their property, a long life, health, capable sons and grandsons,

जनवश्यं राजवश्यं नारीवश्यं तथैव च
वाक्सिद्धिं सकलान्कामानाप्नोत्यत्र न संशय:।। 78

Control over people, rulers, women, great oratory and gets all the wishes fulfilled. Of this, there is no doubt.

अष्टोत्तरशतं नित्यं प्रजपेन्नियमेन य:
दीर्घायुष्यमथारोग्यं धनधान्यचयं श्रियम्।। 79

One who recites it 108 times daily obtains longevity, health, wealth, food grains, undiminishing wealth,

अचलां पुत्रपौत्रांश्च सौभाग्यममलं शुभम्
अवाप्य सकलान्शत्रून्जित्वाहीन्गरुडो यथा।। 80

Sons and grandsons, wellbeing, pure auspiciousness; and like garuda (celestial great kite, the vehicle of Vişņu) over snakes, winning over all enemies,

महतीं सिद्धिमाप्नोति क्षेमं सर्वत्र विंदति
अनेनैव शरीरेण वत्सरत्रयत: परम्।। 81

Achieves great things. Will be safe and sound everywhere. If recites for three years, along with his body

घटिकात्पादुकाद्यष्टसिद्धीनां नायको भवेत्
द्रव्यापेक्षा यथा तस्य निधिसिद्धिस्तथा तदा।। 82

Earns the Eight Achievements. Whatever quantity of money one wishes will be achieved,

दु्रष्ट्वैवाकर्षयन्नारीं नृपकन्याश्च दुर्लभा:
सप्तद्वीपस्य पतयो प्यस्य दासा भवंति हि।। 83

Attracts ladies at the first site. Attracts even rarest of rare virgin princesses. Rulers of the Seven Islands (ancient divisions of the land of Hindus) will become his slaves.

स्थावरं जगमं चा पि कृत्रिमं चा पि यद्विषं
एतत्करस्पर्शनत: सद्य एव विनस्श्यति।। 84

All poisons including stone-based, snake, scorpion and others will get neutralized just by his touch.

चिरायुष्यं समासाद्य भुंत्क्तेभोगांश्च दुर्लभान्
एकाहिकद्व्याहिकादिज्वरा नपि सुदारुणान्।। 85

While he obtains longevity and rarest of delights, frightful fevers of a few days

ब्रह्मराक्षसभेतालभूतप्रेतपिशाचकान्
दृष्ट्वैवोच्चाटयेत्सद्यो नात्र कार्या विचारणा।। 86

Fiercest of demon black-magicians, devils, spirits and bad night spirits and such ones flee on seeing him. Of this, there is nothing to doubt.

किमत्र बहुनोक्तेन जीवन्मुक्तो भवेद् धु्रवम्
अस्मिन्कलियुगे घोरे लोभमायासमाकुले।। 87

Why to tell so many things? He will be free from the cycle of lives. In this horrendous, alluring illusion filled Kali (4th and last Time Cycle of the World),

अयमेव परोधर्मस्त्विदमेव परंतप:
इयमेव महाविद्या इदमेव परं फलम्।। 88

This is the most righteous and enemy destroying great Knowledge that gives best fruits.

साधनेषु च सर्वेषु पूर्ण: श्रीगुर्वनुग्रह:
अस्ति चेत्सर्वसिद्धि: स्यादन्यथा निष्फलं भवेत्।। 89

Guru’s Role

It will succeed if Guru’s benevolence exists throughout its practice. Without that it will be a waste.

स एव कृतकृत्य: स्याद्यो गुरौ दृढ़भक्तिमान्
गुरोरभावे तत्पत्नीं तत्पुत्रं वा प्रतोषयेत्
नान्यथा सिद्धिमाप्नोति पुरश्चर्याशतैरपि।। 90

Whoever possesses great devotion towards the Guru will succeed. If Guru is not there, his wife or son has to be served with devotion. Without that even a 100 repetitions of the practice will fail.

इति श्रीपराशरसंहितायां हनुमन्मन्त्रविवरणे काम्यसाधनं नाम तृतीय पटल:
